Matt is a returning customer and as you can see from his review, the reason he came back to Nations Auto Transport was because of the customer service. He tried another broker and was not pleased with communication and turn around time. He has a small pickup, a 1972 Chevrolet K-10 that he needed moved as soon as possible. We located a auto transport car carrier out of Philadelphia, PA who traveled this route often. His vehicle was dispatched within a week and delivered 8 days later to his driveway. His vehicle was shipped on an open car carriers and was delivered on time with no incidents.
The cost of this move was $1750.00 which is comparable for an older vehicle traveling 2600 miles cross country.
Do you wonder why it is more costly to move an older vehicle? I spoke with a car carrier yesterday about this. The major concern is mechanical. Older vehicles may not have the quality mechanical functionality like a new vehicle. Namely, the emergency brakes cannot be trusted. If you’ve ever seen a vehicle pulled up on to a car carrier, you will have respect for the man/woman doing this job. The last thing they want to happen is to set the emergency brake, climb out of the vehicle and have it roll off the truck. Extra care needs to be priority with these older vehicle. Extra care costs extra money..plain and simple.
